TB BCM Automatic Backwashing Filteration System
BCM automatic backwashing filtration system is an electromechanical integration product. It removes impurities from low-viscosity, large-flow and high-speed fluids. It has several advantages such as, rational design, high filtration quality, time and labor savings, minimum cost for replacement equipment, and continuous flow during backwashing.
Descriptions
The basic construction consists of the main housing, geared motor, inlet and outlet ports with flanged connections, filter elements, drain valve, pneumatic actuator and HMI control system. All of these combined together provide a completely automatic backwashing filtration system.
The process begins with fluid passing trough the inlet flange reaching the filter elements by flowing from inside the element to outside. Impurities are then trapped on the inside of the wedge-wave filter element. As impurities increase, the differential pressure between the contaminated and clean side increases. When the set differential pressure is reached, automatic backwashing is trigged. (Note: This backwashing activation has an adjustable differential pressure and time setting.)
The backwashing process is one complete cycle which cleans one filter element at a time in succession. The geared motor turns the washing arm with proper angulation to the filter element being cleaned. The drain valve is then opened by a pneumatic actuator. This results in a high differential pressure between the contaminated and clean sides. The high differential pressure makes clean fluid flowing from outside the element into inside, and then the impurities are washed down and forced into the drain line. When the set backwashing time is reached, the drain valve is closed, and the backwashing for this element finishes. (During this operation, only a small amount of clean fluid is used to complete the backwashing process.) Then the geared motor turns the washing arm again, and the backwashing for another filter element starts. After all the filter elements are cleaned in succession, the washing arm turns back to its original position and this backwashing cycle is completed.
